The Sitecore Commerce platform is a new mover in the commerce landscape and promises to be a significant player. This will be one of the first commerce platforms that enables a personalised, customised shopping experience that consumers demand today.
Sitecore Experience Commerce (XC) was first announced at the 2017 Sitecore Symposium in Las Vegas, and appropriate venue for the completely rebuilt commerce server offering.
The commerce platform has now run through a few iterations and is starting to feel like a complete product. It’s a capable commerce system stand alone, but embraces all of the capabilities of Sitecore in terms of integration (external PIM, DAM or ERP systems), Internationalisation (external translation systems) and the extendibility of working in the Cloud, especially in the Microsoft Azure environment.
In addition to this, you’ll be able to push and promote content and products based on the visitors browsing activity, or draw a client through an engagement plan to enhance sales – marketing automation. The link into the personalisation capabilities of Sitecore is an area in strong development right now and shows promise.
At Nemetos we’ve embraced the Commerce system and already have taken our development team through the Sitecore Commerce Certifications. We're currently putting this into practice - already building and preparing to launch one of the first Sitecore 9 Commerce sites in Europe.
On behalf of Sitecore, I wanted to send a quick note of thanks and appreciation for your partnership around Sitecore Commerce. Nemetos has made considerable investment in our most advanced Level 300 Sitecore Commerce training, and now stands amongst the top firms in UK and EMEA in terms of number of trained resources on our latest version. Congratulations!
